Free Employment Services 

 

The new Employment services program.  Whether participating in employment assessment only, or attending Module I or II, or any other Job search program, the new JSW is all about helping newcomers and internationally-trained professionals better understand their strategic next steps in their own unique Job search process.  It is a unique foundational program that will better prepare clients when choosing longer employment and/or training programs.


It's a 3 week program that have subsidy of $15.00 per hour 35 Hours per week program after the 3 week training we will provide full time job for each participant.

 

Client Eligibility for the JSW:

  • Permanent Residents of Canada.

  • Protected persons as defined in Section 95 of IRPA.

  • Persons in Canada whose application for Permanent Resident status are being processed in Canada and who have been informed, by a letter from Citizenship & Immigration Canada, of the initial approval of their application subject to an admissibility assessment.

  • Temporary Residents working in Canada with a work permit under the Live-in Caregiver program.

 

 

  • Understand the Canadian company perspective of employment (what they want)

  • Find & list the skills, education, salary, and requirments of a Canadian occupation (by Job title)

  • List & describe their own work history, within a Canadian context

  • List & describe their skills and accomplishments

  • Match & analyze their professional skills to a minimum of one Canadian occupation

  • Create a list of networking contacts

  • Plan the next step(s) in their own Job search process

 

  • Understand the Canadian company perspective of recruiting, hiring, resume selection & interviewing

  • Learn strategies to "cold" call a company

  • Locate advertised Job postings from a variety of sources

  • Write a "targeted" resume/cover lettet that communicates their skills/experience

  • Apply for a Job using a targeted resume/cover letter

  • Understand interviewing techniques & practice answers to common interview questions

  • Plan the next step(s0 in their own Job search process
